Five-in-one Filtration Process

Pre Filter: Clears dust, pollutants etc.
A pre filter is an integral part of Clean Air air purifier range. It is the first stage of filtration, and it essentially helps to capture large particles like pet hair, pollen and dust.

HEPA Filter: Removes viruses and bacteria above 0.3 micron size
HEPA filtration technology was developed by the US Atomic Energy Commission to filter out radioactive “dust” and materials from the air.

HEPA, High Efficiency Particulate Air, filters are those that cause air to pass through a specially-designed structure. These HEPA filters are designed to remove 99.97% of all pollutants that are 0.3 microns or larger. For reference, 1 micron is approximately 1/100th the width of a human hair!

Activated Carbon Filter: Removes any foul and chemical smells
An activated carbon filter is developed from charcoal and it is typically a bed or a sheet of activated carbon, generally present in granular or powdered block form and it has millions of tiny absorbent porous particles. charcoal filters are porous and therefore it absorbs chemical odour, gases and volatile compounds.

The activated carbon filter is a filtration method that helps in the removal of smoke, odour and smell.

UV Light: Removes viruses and bacteria below 0.3 micron size
The UV light on an air purifier uses the UV-C spectrum of ultraviolet light to inactivate airborne pathogens and micro organisms like mould, bacteria, and viruses. The purpose of the UV mode on an air purifier is to sterilize indoor air.

The reason why UV lights on air purifiers are so effective against micro organisms and pathogens is that, ultraviolet light exposure damages their DNA and RNA structure, so reproduction cannot occur.

Ionizers: Removes dust, allergens, pet dander etc
Ionizers are known as negative ion generators, work by creating a static charge around the airborne contaminants that are floating around in the room. Once charged with static, these particles simply stick to the nearest surface they find.
